Packaging
LOOPA packaging
Once the brand had been created, packaging was then immediately required to move LOOPA into the market to begin trading. This was being created alongside accreditation and formulation of the physical products themselves. Using the colour scheme work developed in the branding phase of the project work began first of all on the labels that would be positioned on the refill bottles and once we had the look and feel of this identified work then began on the mailer (used in logistics) and then the gift wrapping element. The packaging was being created overseas and all artwork was created to fit templates they could produce. Product testing and samples of materials were observed during the creation of the packaging to ensure the client was happy with the final outcome.
The style and physical attributes of the packaging and gift wrapping elements have been designed to make it desirable after its use in delivering the products i.e. they can be reused but if this is not the intention of the customer, all packaging can be fully recycled which aligns with the LOOPA environmental values.

Products
The LOOPA products are divided into two categories/product lines: soaps and diffusers and to make this as easily identifiable and to conform to accessibility standards I utilised the LOOPA black logo scheme to come up with the identity of the names of the products and their colours. When paired they contrast very strongly with one another making them identifiable to those with visual impairments.

Label design
The products come in two sizes, 250ml and 500ml so labels had to be designed to conform to those two sizes. Because this is a product that you apply to your skin or are exposed to, a comprehensive list of ingredients and guidelines had to be included to adhere to regulations and all had to be large enough to read clearly.

Mailer box
A key attribute of the LOOPA business model and service is to be able to deliver products through the post securely without damage. A sturdy ‘mailer’ box had to be developed that would encase the products in securely and would be able to put up with logistic services and delivery to multiple depots. A product was designed to both functionally operate in this way but to also carry a message regarding the company’ ethos and values regarding environmental standards. This was conveyed with the use of a QR code and also a message on the inside of the lid accompanied by a visual to evoke its meaning.
Gift box
LOOPA products are intended as products for ones home but also as gifts for loved ones, so as part of the LOOPA service a gift wrapping solution had to be devised that would securely encase the products in transit in a more attractive way and offer more of an experience for those unwrapping it. A unique pattern was created that related to the products viscosity and utilised the strong brand colour scheme for an impactful experience.

Tube packaging
As well as general packaging to deliver the product as a ‘set’, to further the experience the soap and diffuser bottles are individually packaged to protect them in transit within a stylish piece of tube packaging. To cope with the 250ml and 500ml size, two tubes were developed of differing sizes. Made of thick board material and wrapped in printed paper this can be recycled but the emphasis is on the reuse of this packaging.
